## Clear aligners

### Is my case too complicated for clear aligners?

Probably not. Dr. Nael routinely treats crowded teeth, protruding teeth, bite misalignment, jaw discrepancies and cases needing surgical orthodontic coordination with clear aligners, planned in 3D and supported by micro-implants where a case needs them. The honest answer for your case comes from a scan, which is what the free consultation is for.

### Will people notice I am wearing aligners?

Clear aligners are removable and close to invisible. In meetings, on calls and in photographs they generally go unremarked. This is the reason most patients at Bissan Medical Centre finally start treatment they had put off for years.

### Do I have to take them out to eat?

Yes. You take clear aligners out to eat, brush your teeth normally, and put them back in afterwards. There are no food restrictions the way there are with fixed braces. The aligners go back in straight after — you wear them 20 hours a day, which leaves four hours for meals and cleaning.

### How many hours a day do I have to wear them?

Twenty hours a day. You change to a new tray every week, and you see Dr. Nael once a month — he checks your progress against the plan and gives you the next four trays, one for each week until your following visit.

### How long does treatment take?

Your treatment length is part of the plan Dr. Nael builds from your 3D scan, and you see it before you agree to start. You are not asked to commit to an open-ended course of treatment.

### Can I see the result before I commit?

Yes. Dr. Nael builds a 3D simulation of your finished result from your scan, and you review and approve it before any aligner is manufactured. Nothing is made until you have agreed to the plan.

### Which aligner system do you use?

Spark. Your aligners are manufactured to Dr. Nael’s prescription from the plan you approve, and they arrive at the practice about twenty days later.

### Who actually plans and reviews my treatment?

Dr. Nael Abou Hassan does. Diagnosis, the movement plan and the review of your progress are his own work, and you are not handed between practitioners between appointments.

## Price, instalments and insurance

### Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The first consultation with Dr. Nael Abou Hassan is free, and there is no obligation to start treatment afterwards. If you do decide to go ahead, a diagnostic scan and X-ray imaging package of AED 400 applies, separate from the treatment fee.

### What is the AED 400 scan and imaging package?

It covers the diagnostic 3D scan and X-ray imaging your treatment plan is built from, taken in-house at Bissan Medical Centre. It is AED 400 and it is charged only if you decide to go ahead with treatment — the consultation itself stays free. It is separate from the treatment fee, not part of it.

### What does clear aligner treatment cost?

Clear aligner treatment with Dr. Nael Abou Hassan starts from AED 10,000. What your own case costs depends on how much movement it needs, and Dr. Nael quotes a single figure after your scan. The consultation itself is free.

### Why is the price a range rather than one number?

Because the amount of movement a case needs is only known after a scan. Treatment starts from AED 10,000 and rises with complexity. Dr. Nael quotes your single figure once he has scanned your teeth and built the plan — not before.

### How do instalments work?

You pay a first amount to begin, and the balance is spread over monthly instalments. The terms are set to your case rather than chosen from a menu, and they are agreed with you before treatment starts. No interest and no administration fees — instalments cost exactly the same as paying in full.

### Is a retainer included in the price?

Yes — in the clear aligner price and in the fixed-brace price. It is not billed separately at the end of treatment, and if it is ever lost or broken we replace it free of charge.

### Does insurance cover orthodontic treatment?

Some plans cover orthodontic treatment and some do not. The practice works with Neuron, NAS, MedNet, Nextcare, Daman, Inayah, Enaya, Almadallah, AXA and ADNIC. Bring your insurance details to the free consultation and the team will check what your plan covers before you commit to anything.

### When do I get a firm price?

After your scan and your treatment plan, not before. Bissan Medical Centre quotes once the case is understood, so the figure you are given is the figure you pay.

### Can I pay online?

No. Billing is issued at the centre and settled at reception. Nothing is charged when you book an appointment on this website.

## Appointments and opening hours

### Where is the clinic?

Dr. Nael practises at Bissan Medical Centre, Golden Tower, 335 Corniche Street, Al Majaz, Sharjah. There is on-site parking in a lot behind the centre. Digital X-ray imaging, 3D scanning, aligner production and clinical treatment are all in the same building.

### What are your opening hours?

The practice is open Saturday to Thursday from 09:00 to 21:00, and Friday from 14:00 to 20:00. Dr. Nael’s own clinics run Saturday to Thursday, 12:00 to 21:00.

### Can I see Dr. Nael on a Friday?

No. Dr. Nael does not hold Friday clinics. His appointments run Saturday to Thursday, 12:00 to 21:00. The centre itself is open on Friday from 14:00 to 20:00 for the patient care team.

### What languages do you speak at the practice?

Arabic, English and French. Dr. Nael Abou Hassan speaks all three, as does the wider team, so you can have your consultation in whichever language you find it easiest to explain yourself in.

## General and aftercare

### Do you treat adults, or only teenagers?

Both. Dr. Nael treats adult and adolescent cases at Bissan Medical Centre, with clear aligners and with fixed appliances.

### What if aligners are not right for my case?

Dr. Nael also treats with Damon System braces, modern metal braces, lingual braces fitted behind the teeth, and micro-implant supported orthodontics. The consultation tells you which options genuinely fit your case before you decide anything.

### What happens once treatment finishes?

You move into a retainer, which holds the result and is included in your treatment price. It is either a removable clear retainer worn at night or a permanent bonded one fitted behind the teeth — Dr. Nael decides which suits your case. He then reviews you monthly or every two months once active treatment ends, for a period set by your case rather than a fixed schedule.

## Still have a question?

## The rest of the answers come from a scan

A website can tell you how treatment works. It cannot tell you what your case needs. The consultation is free and there is no obligation to start.
